Short Term Disability Part B changes 2015

Effective March 2015 the if you participate in the BLET Short Term Disability Program Part B (the one you pay for currently as part of your dues deduction every month IF you participate) You will no longer be able to have such premiums for that insurance deducted as a portion of the dues deduction every month and must have the premium "auto debited" from your banking account.

This change is due to the change in the BLET Bylaws enacted at the National Convention in 2014, in part to keep in compliance with Department of Labor Regulations regarding dues deductions from individual members.

The forms to effect the change from payroll deduction to "auto-debit" are online within the website both here (in the H&W info section) and the BLET National website. The PDF contains a cover letter explaining the changes, as well as a form that needs to be mailed to the BLET National Division. PLEASE take the time to read the letter, and complete the required forms and return to the BLET National Division.
